13 Fears Every Billiard Player Has Ever Had

If something can go wrong, it will go wrong. That is the ultimate rule of Murphy's Law, and we have already seen that it also affects billiards. Today's post is closely related to it because we will talk about negativity, concerns and suffering. In other words, fears. Fear of billiards. Without further ado, I leave you with the blacklist of our 13 (the number is no coincidence) fears that you see that you are not the only one that suffers them :)

1- To lose. This is the most fucked-up fear of all, because no one wants to feel defeated. It is also the fear that helps you become a great billiard player.

2- To win. But how can we be afraid to win ?! Yes, because winning entails a series of not so nice side effects: for example, if you win once you will be required to win always.

3- To fail (the black one). Another very typical fear of the billiard player is failing a ball. And more if it is the last (eight, nine or ten), or an easy ball.

4- To be ridiculous. And it can be in a thousand ways: because you are not able to enter a ball or because you screw it up in every back attempt.

5- Not meeting expectations. Ours and the others’. That is, to not get what we thought we were going to get or what others told us to achieve.

6- To play against a professional (and not prove what you know). Because you're more focused on showing him your talent than anything else.

7- Not to show that you can play well. That is, to miss the opportunity to get your game when you need it most.

8- To fail when you have 3 consecutive runs. Your mind teases you and when you do things well, it is responsible for reminding you not to neglect because they could twist. That is the reason why many times after 2, 3 series, you fail (if you are not well prepared mentally to nullify that negative thinking)

9- Not knowing how to handle the pressure. Because you shake like a chicken and you are more nervous than the day of your wedding. Quiet man, that pool is a game!

10- To let your fellow billiards down. Because you did not play well that day.

11- To shop up in front of your girlfriend / friends. When you come to see in a championship this fear is fired eh! Oh, now you can not fail because they're watching ...

12- That your team loses because of you. Calm down, if we lose, we lose all.

13- What will they say if I lose. And to end the typical fear of those who think more of each other than of themselves. They will say a thousand things, yes. But useful for your progress, few or none.

The solution to all these fears is called "trust in yourself" and "accept failures." Trust because you are bigger than you think. And accept the failures because without them there is no progress. You need them. And quiet, because we all suffer these 13 fears (and many more). The difference is in who knows how to manage them, and who does not.

Do you have any more fears of billiards? Write them in the comments to continue doing therapy :)
