Why billiards players do not go to many tournaments?

In recent months we have been working on the draft Poolmania we wanted to see first hand the views of the pool players and Spanish clubs to make this website as helpful as possible.

With this idea we are giving the club pool the possibility of their local custom tabs with interesting information for players, who can evaluate and comment on their experience when they play.

As we know better the intricacies of the sport, we are realizing, as expected, the players and pool tournaments are no strangers to the economic crisis. Competitions flashy as the Cup of Spain or the Pool Billiards National League (LNBP) are noticing a significant decline in player participation, why you are doing to lower the quality of the tournaments.

But, what causes are causing the decline of players in tournamentsMainly two reasons. On the one hand, the reduction in government subsidies that give the top players to compete, and on the other hand, the considerable drop in private sponsors that are committed to the sport.

In the current environment solutions to these difficulties are craving something complex. The increased presence of media (especially television) could serve as incentive for sponsors in the billiards see an attractive sport in which to invest. However, such channels are not Teledeporte to write home about, so this way seems difficult that can be opened.

Another option would be to reduce enrollments paid players in tournaments, but this would result in lower awards, so neither could be seen as a viable solution.

The pool in Spain is in a period of impasse for players, clubs and pool tournaments. Can you think of innovative solutions to improve the image of our sport?
